Real Estate Photography: Twilight Enhancements

Our most highly sought after specialty edit for real estate photography is the twilight enhancement. The unique feature of these edits is that the image has the potential of being captured at any time of day. This minimizes any inconvenience to the seller and oftentimes enables us to capture the entire property including the twilight shot all during the same session.

The only requirement for capturing a twilight shot is that it cannot be sunny out. This means that cloudy or slightly overcast days are the most ideal. In fact, if it is overcast, we have the ability to capture the twilight shot at any time of day. And this creates an incredible “wow” factor for clients especially when photographing in the morning or afternoon hours while the skies are gray.

The biggest selling feature of twilight enhancements is that they drive online traffic to a listing. Properties that undergo a twilight enhancement receive far more click through traffic than other comparable listings. I even tested this out with one of our out-of-state rental properties. We listed the property with a twilight enhancement edit and received just over 120 views in 2 days. Other rental properties with similar specs, that did not have a twilight enhancement, received fewer than 25 views over the same time period.
