Holly and I have been working with Gretchen and Jason in preparation for their June 20th wedding for almost a year. To say that there has been a lot of anticipation for this day is nothing short of an understatement and the day could not have flowed any more seamlessly.
We began at the Benson Hotel where both Gretchen and Jason got ready. An incredible party bus fully equipped with karaoke transported us to the Park Blocks for a formals session amidst all the lush green foliage of downtown Portland. It was the perfect location for Gretchen & Jason's first moment together as well as their formals. During the session, Ronald McDonald stopped by for a moment to wish the couple all the best. Apparently he was not able to make it to the ceremony or reception. Oh well....
Gretchen & Jason were officially married at The Grotto. The 62 acre Catholic Shrine is a visual feast for the eyes with an outdoor cathedral set at the base of a very massive and dramatic rock wall. Following the ceremony, the couple strolled through a tunnel of bubbles as their departure to the reception back at the Benson Hotel.
Paparazzi Tonight provided endless photo entertainment for the evening with guests dressing up in all sorts of wacky outfits and costumes. The dancing and partying went well into the evening and guests were treated to a buffet of late night snacks of pizza, sliders, and curly fries. Congratulations to Gretchen & Jason! We look forward to hearing about your road trip travels throughout California.
