When I met Meagan and her mom Sandy during our first wedding consultation, I don't specifically recall how, but we somehow got onto the subject of the Red Sox.  I recall mentioning something about the Sox -- probably that I was originally from Boston or something like that, and I remember Sandy and Meagan lighting up like a light bulb with excitement.  It was clear to me that they were Red Sox fans.  Red Sox fans are the best!

For those of you who are from the west coast, it is difficult to describe the passion for sports that exists on the east coast.  It is unlike any other thing.  Take the Civil War game out here and multiply it by 100 and you are maybe getting close to what I am talking about here.

Well, Meagan and Sandy, though from the west coast, really get the passion for sports and more importantly, the passion for the Red Sox.  So, today as I was packaging up Meagan's wedding DVD archive and proof prints to ship to them, my doorbell rang and I happened to receive a shipment from them.  I couldn't believe it -- signature Red Sox M&Ms!!!

Sandy wrote me the kindest email following her daughter's wedding and wrote:

The joy in your work must first come from the beautiful images you catch that tell the story. The 2nd from words of gratitude and amazement and thanks for what you did to capture and bring to life Meagan and Jermaine's wedding day all over again.

I wanted to add to Sandy's comment by saying -- and the 3rd part that brings me joy is the one that is actually the most near and dear to me and that is the relationship I get to build with my clients over the years to come.  Thank you to Meagan & Sandy for entrusting us to capture such a special day in your lives.
