Here is a story that just warms my heart... Earlier this year I had the opportunity to photograph Shirin and James' wedding. Their wedding was on March 21st and it coincided with the Persian New Year. At the wedding, I had the opportunity to meet another lovely couple who was equally in love and that was Amad and Pilar. A couple of months after the wedding, I received the following email:
"Paul, you may recall my name from the March 21st wedding that you attended - I am Shirin's father. What are the probabilities that you could be available for a VERY short and VERY VERY simple ceremony on the late afternoon of July 3rd?"
How could I possibly pass up this wonderful opportunity? Amad and Pilar exchanged vows in a very intimate backyard setting surrounded by friends and family. It was such a treat to see Shirin and James again -- who also have some very exciting news to share -- but I will leave that to later...
A week later I met back up with Amad and Pilar for a post-wedding photo session at the Hoyt Arboretum and Portland Rose Garden area. Here are some of our favorites:
