Quite simply put, Christina and Jason's wedding was an absolute blast! Their story is a unique one. Christina, whose family is from Switzerland, met Jason, whose family is from Korea, through Match.com while they were both living in New York City. Now, one might assume that the wedding would be in NYC -- but not for Christina and Jason.
During their travels together, Christina and Jason discovered a joint interest in the Northwest and more particularly in Portland, OR. Since all of their guests had to travel for the wedding anyway, they thought Portland would be the perfect spot. And if a somewhat "random" location wasn't enough, they decided to get married aboard a ship sailing down the Willamette River.
Just prior to boarding the Willamette Star, a portrait was taken of each guest in a fashion similar to that of the famous TV series The Love Boat. It made for such a fun experience for the guests and gave the true feeling of being on a cruise. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a sit down dinner with the Portland skyline floating by as a beautiful backdrop to the evening.
Christina and Jason walked back to the downtown Hilton to change into Korean dress while their guests were escorted to the Thirst Wine Bar & Bistro along Portland's waterfront. Christina and Jason rode in a pedicab through the streets of downtown Portland and arrived for the after party. Guests cheered upon their arrival and the partying went well into the evening. Congratulations to Christina and Jason and thank you for such a unique and wonderful experience.
